An Awesome Wood Duckling Video
This spring, I was fortunate that a wood duck nested in my owl box and hatched nine ducklings.
The nestbox has a livestreaming cam, and I was able to record the ducklings as they left home. The video is an expanded version of the original footage in order to paint a better picture of what happened….
My one regret is I didn't include a photo of the male wood duck — arguably the most beautiful duck in the world.
(I've seen the wood duck family swimming on Lake Appert in the Celery Farm, and last week or so I saw another wood duck family on Crestwood Lake)
