After-dinner guest

Rt1

   This red-tailed hawk appeared after dinner tonight.

   He perched over the brook for a while, then flew to a perch by my side door.

   It was so humid my lens kept fogging up, but he stayed long enough for me to get a lens tissue to clean it off.

   At one point, he was perched on the crossbar I put up for the screech owls. A photographer on the path must have gotten some great shots.

   As I write this, the red-tail is still in my side yard, hunting, about 20 feet from the door. I want to take more photos, but I figure he must be hungry.

   Better let the poor guy try to hunt up some dinner.
