A wondrous wildflower
I have been spending quite a few days at Hawk Mountain in Pennsylvania for a book project, and a friend there was kind enough to show me some awesome wildflowers in a local meadow yesterday.
A flower called lady’s tresses looked like it could have used some Rogaine (that
darned recent heat wave was to blame).
But the beauty on the left was in its glory.
Any idea what it is?
If you don’t, you needn’t feel too bad.
I have to admit I was woefully ignorant of its existence.
(I think it must be a "guy thing" — my loss.)
