A Visit to Forsythe

IMG_0847
Had a great rip to Forsythe over the weekend. Did the drive around the eight-mile loop, then walked a couple of miles on a trail.

Had 42 species in all. Highlights included a ton of Snow Geese, several Brants, a Marsh Hawk, a perched Peregrine, a Bald Eagle, several Eastern Bluebirds, and plenty of duckage.

One caveat: Check with the wildlife refuge's Facebook page before you go.  When Patty and I went back Monday morning, the drive was closed without warning or explanation …  Saw no mention of the closure on Sunday.

You can visit the Facebook page here.
