The patriot John Fell was arrested 246 years ago today by British loyalists at Allendale's historic Fell House or, as he called it, "my house."

(The land was part of Paramus back then, and included what is now the Celery Farm Natural Area.)

Heard's Brigade re-enacted the arrest annually for Allendale third-graders until Covid intervened in 2020.

The Fell House hopes to invite these terrific re-enactors back soon.
