Chris Takacs was nice enough to share this American Bittern shot from the Celery Farm, taken yesterday. (Thanks, Chris!)

There are reports of two bitterns along Lake Appert. I saw one yesterday morning from the Warden's Watch, and another (possibly the same one) in flight in the afternoon directly in front of the Pirie-Mayhood Tower.

If you look for it, you'll probably need a spotting scope.
