A month ago, I saw two Tom Turkeys circling each other, wings out, on the ground at the Celery Farm.
What were they doing?
Bonus questions:
What are young male Wild Turkeys called? What are female Wild Turkeys called?

Jim, I’m guessing the Toms were strutting to establish dominance. Young males are Jakes and young females are Jennies.

Mating season. Hen and Tom. The 11 in our flock of turkeys that live on our street are called ‘trouble’ in our yards. They roost every nite in trees; every year, every nite in summer. They take a running start like clockwork every nite and fly up in trees & on our roofs and over our driveways. What a mess by morning. Can’t keep a vehicle in the driveways. Tyco came, no harm to turkeys. Suggestions given. So, we buy dozens of balloons and raise them high into the trees to keep them away. The turkeys can be trained…fact. My husband gathered them together one night in July 2021 by hitting a newspaper against his hand and yelling. Chased the 11 down the center of our street to the next street, turned them left into the woods. They didn’t roost the rest of 2021. But every single nite, they all marched down the street, turned left… the neighborhood children learned so much and gathered many nights to watch.
My hubby is a hero on our street.
