   Got the monitor up and running last night long enough to check on Mrs. Ace.

  The first image that came up, around 8:30 p.m., was of four eggs, no owl.

   I have to admit I was a little nervous about Mrs. Ace, given the extreme weather we’ve had.

   Fortunately, she flew back a few minutes later and was all settled in when I checked back a couple hours later.

  From all I can tell, her house was a lot drier through the storm than mine.

  The water in my backyard and basement did not recede until this morning. Much of the water that should have drained from the Celery Farm and environs is hanging around.

   The trails in the natural area are still mostly under water. It will be a long dry-out.  I will post photos of the Celery Farm (currently the Celery Lake) later this morning.
