   Now that the basement is mostly dried out, I am trying to do a few video clips of Mrs. Ace. In the one here, she is calling around dusk.

   I went outside and stood 20 yards from the owl box and could not hear her — which shows how sensitive the microphone is. 

   I think you can also hear traffic in the background. That’s how close to civilization screech owls nest are.
