  The screech owl babies are growing big-time, and starting to show darker markings on their feathers.

  Thanks to the screech-cam, I could notice their feet distinctly, and saw some great interaction between mother and nestling as Mrs. Ace fed her babies to tonight.

    Here are a couple videos. The first strikes me as particularly tender.

    I hope for the best for the owlets, but life is fragile. The baby robins did not survive, and the nest has been abandoned.

   For now the owlets are alive and well, and for this I am grateful.
