It’s June 1, and we still have owlets in the box.
I think the image (above) and video (below) are the calm before the storm.
As you can see from the image above, the owlets that started out in early May about the size of popcorn have really gotten big.
They eat, sleep, and occasionally flap their wings and jump around in preparation for leaving the nest.
I am lousy at predictions but I’d guess they’ll all leave the box within the next seven days.
And yes, I think that is a cardinal calling in the distance on the video.
