Waxwing

Waxwing

A few waxwings were acting like flycatchers at the Warden’s Watch on Saturday morning while an osprey was acting like, well, an osprey.

The osprey caught a nice carp on the first try, and the waxwings were in bug heaven.

I like this shot because it shows off the waxwing’s mohawk and his distinctive yellow tips on his tail. I also like the shot because it was the one decent one in the batch. 🙂

  • We saw the same thing, except on different days… I did thing it was a fly catcher before it perched on a branch right above me!
