Incorporating the Celery Farm and Screech Owl Companion blogs

September 6, 2007

A plug

Icky_cover_4     Photographer Jerry Barrack and I are launching our two new children’s books, "Icky the Hungry Heron" and "Swan Babies" this weekend with a signing on Saturday morning at the Celery Farm.

We had started to launch them last spring but my mom was hospitalized for several weeks and priorities changed. (She’s doing better now.)

    So here we try again.

Both new books were photographed at the Celery Farm, and are along the lines of "Duck Enough To Fly," which has now sold 2,000 copies.

"Icky" is about a young great blue heron who sets out to catch the biggest fish in Lake Appert. Swan_babies_cover_4

"Swan Babies" is the true story of the mute swans who built a nest and had several baby swans by the Pirie Platform in the spring of ’06.

Jerry and I will be by the Franklin Turnpike entrance on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. to sell and sign books and generally shoot the breeze about the books, this blog, birds, nature photography, and other topics, so stop by and say hi.

The books are now on sale at Bookends in Ridgewood and Rohsler’s Nursery on the Franklin Turnpike in Allendale.
