OWL: Ace update
Took a photo of Ace looking out of the box yesterday, with a little snow atop the roof.
Ace spends more than half of his days in our nesting box.
At night, of course, he is hunting. He has brought back only one prey so far this season, and that was before he moved in.
Not sure where he stays on other days. All I know is I smile every morning that I check the screech-cam and see the little guy tucked in there, safe and sound.

I try not to post on days he is there.
As for putting up an owl box, I’d say go for it so long as the Radburnians don’t mind. I’d put it on a tree that I could see, and put it maybe 12 feet up just so it’s at a less accessible height… -
I’ve heard the owls sometimes in Radburn Park. I live right on the park, and have lots of trees. Would it be worth it? I saw them at the store, and debated it. Not with a cam, yet!

Great shot! How many days a week does Ace spend in your box? Although I haven’t had any success to date with my box I am thinking about biting the bullet and installing a camera this winter.
