Saw several dozen waxwings at the Celery Farm on Friday, munching o
n berries near the trail along the Allendale Brook.
These little birds are both quiet and mysterious — you can go weeks without seeing them, and
suddenly you’re in the middle of a waxwing convention.
Especially when there are berries around.
Note the neat yellow tips on the tail feathers in the lower photo.
