The Christmas Count

   I did a story for The Record today on the Bergen Christmas count, and it is pretty much all good news:

   Lots of species, and lots of birds, including lots of bald eagles and lots of monk parakeets.

  The story is here, and of interest to most birders, I imagine: It looks like this could be a great winter for birding…

   I am hoping to participate in the Ramsey regional count on Dec. 29 and to write about it for The Record — possibly blogging as I go…

   I am shopping for warm socks already.
