Nature Done Wright

   I took this sequence last week to give you a glimpse of what goes on inside the nesting box this time of year. It takes less than a minute, with credits.

  Ace the screech owl hunts at night and occasionally drops off a meal for later as he protects his turf and nesting box.

  In the video, Ace catches a mole and drops it off, then nibbles on it the next day or so.

  It took about two days for the mole to disappear.

  There is nothing gruesome in the video.

  I thought this short video might provide a more-animated look at what was going on.
