Just thought I’d let you know that all is well with Ace the screech owl.
   He has not brought back any meals lately, but I think that might in part be a function of colder weather.
  The past day or two, I have noticed that Ace has not been huddled in a corner of the nesting box, as he often is.
   In the image above, you can actually see part of his face  (upper middle of photo).
   I think that may be a function of temperature as well.
