Teevee, antenna
The marsh warden of the Celery Farm and his wonderful wife have a new chimney, and when I stopped by this week, I happened to see this turkey vulture giving it a test drive.
When I went to point out the bird to the marsh warden, the vulture moved and perched on the television antenna.
Alas, I missed the perfect opportunity to take a photo of a teevee antenna, so I had to settle for this, at least for now.
I can only imagine what the vulture told his friend later:
"You wouldn’t believe the reception I got at the marsh warden’s house."
There’s a joke somewhere in that previous paragraph. No, really.

So…I think the ‘joke’ is actually the tv antenna. That would have been a famous pic. Our dear marsh warden and his spouse may be the last people in the state with a tv antenna, let alone a vulture on top of it. My elementary school children didn’t know what a tv antenna was. Bless Stiles and his wife.

At least you were able to get the shot on the chimney before the bird flue away.
