OWL: The culprit squirrel returns

Squirrel_fur
A few weeks ago, a squirrel invaded the nesting box while Ace the screech owl was sleeping inside.

After much commotion, the squirrel exited, leaving a few pieces of fur behind him.
Although Ace got the better of the squirrel, he soon departed and has only been back two days out of the past 22.
To discourage the squirrel from hanging around the vicinity, I to
Squirrelnickok down our seed-feeder, and the squirrel had not been seen since.

Because
of the snow Saturday a.m., I thought I would put the feeder back up. On Sunday, a squirrel showed up for the free buffet.
Judging from his forehead, he was the squirrel who tangled with Ace.
I do not know why I find this photo so comforting.

Maybe because Ace can defend himself.
