Barn swallow

   The best place in Allendale to see barn swallows is not the Celery Farm but the Red Barn at Crestwood Lake.
   There is an effort to get the birds to nest in wooden
nests located near the sides of the roof, to reduce the amount of — how shall I put this? — swallow poo on the picnic tables.
   Not sure how it’s working out, but I’d stay away from the mayonnaise there.
