Rob writes: Had repeated views of (at least) 2 NIGHTHAWKS sporacially cruising over
the Celery Farm early this afternoon (1:45 to 3 p.m.)
I have seen
Nighthawks during Midday several times before including at the CF — but
don’t remember any sightings where they hung around in one location for
so long. Very cool!
Around 3 p.m., I saw the AMERICAN BITTERN flying
left to right and landing in the far/back side of the lake almost
straight out from Pirie.
My first Bittern seen in the state this year.
Also saw 3+ BANK SWALLOWS.
And last but certainly not least–there were several reliable reports of Least Bittern today!
