The Sky’s the Limit for This Birder
Fewer than 500 people worldwide have reported seeing this African bird – a blue-moustached bee-eater. Photo by Marc Chelemer By…
If you haven’t been to the Celery Farm’s Pauline Oxnard Memorial Butterfly Garden recently, check it out.
Thanks to the work of several volunteers — Pat Brotherton, Molly Gardener, Lillian Thomas, Lisa Safier, Dora Sommer, Susan Gulick, and Patty Finn (my wife), it is looking awesome.
The garden was dedicated on July 13, 1996.
Click "Continue reading" for more shots of the garden and IDs when known — though I figure many readers of this blog know these flowers better than I do.
The red flowers are bee balm. The white flowers with yellow centers are fleabane.

The orange flowers are butterfly weed. The purple flowers are lavender and some salvia.
