CELERY FARM: Summer reading

Closer_look   Most people who go to the Celery Farm want to watch birds or get some exercise and fresh air — and they don't know what they are missing.

Some of the most amazing and overlooked parts of the 107-acre refuge are its plant and insect life.

I am only now beginning to appreciate these aspects of the farm, and as a result,  I sometimes post images of things I can't identify, and Tom Burr — aka "Bioman" — is the go-to guy when the images involve plants or other natural phenomena.

As you may have noticed from his comments on this Deeper_look_4 blog, Tom is also a deft and humorous writer.
What you may not know is that he is a solid photographer as well, and very talented with a macro lens.
He has two books about the Celery Farm's fauna, called "A Closer Look" and "A Deeper Look" and I recommend them both.
They are available on-line at blurb.com.

Tom's nature blog can be found here: http://bioman10.blogspot.com/.
