The Warden’s Watch hosted a Heron Fest this morning.
When I stopped by at 7:10, the immature little blue heron was perched on the wood duck box, a great egret was by the woodpile, a black-crowned night heron was perched in a tree, and a great blue heron was on that log to the right as you walk toward the platform.
Four herons, 40 seconds.
Not bad.
