THE FLOODING: Video
Here's a 2-minute video of some of the Celery Farm flooding that resulted from Tropical Storm Hanna. (Please give it a few seconds to load.)
The headline in The Record today said that the storm "let us off easy."
Here's a link to a post on flooding last year.
The path to Pirie Platform was also underwater for several stretches.
5 p.m. update: Still can't get to Warden's Watch without knee-high boots. Other parts of trail also water-logged.

Absolutely.
Thanks,

Knowing the water will receede and the paths reappear, doesn’t make this video less upsetting. All the hard work, washed away.
Bring on the sun.

Just think – at one time the water level was controlled by pumping. The old pumphouse was not just for pumpng water to irrigate the celery, it also helped to regulate the level of the water when to much water would have been a problem for the crops grown in the fields.
