ROB FANNING REPORTS: 101508
Rob sez: An ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER, first found by Fred Weber on 10/12, continues today (Wednesday) at the Allendale Celery Farm.
Other highlights included Purple Finch, 4 White-crowned Sparrows, and a flyover Pipit. Yesterday a flock of ~50+ Pine Siskins were observed feeding.
Saw 2 good-sized flocks, one of which perched and fed near Bajor Field area for a bit.
On Monday Fred again saw the Orange-crowned Warbler that he had on his
Big Sit. His total was also 66 species, but with many different birds.
The cumulative total for the 2 CF Big Sits was 84 species! If anyone
wants a list of birds Fred saw but which were not seen from Pirie contact this blog.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to the Big Sit results.
