Saw this myopic fly at the Native Plant Garden at Hawk Mountain recently. Just liked the way it looked on the sign. (Never knew that flies were attracted to Bergamot, or that they could read.)

  • Ooh, I see it, John–and it’s about to attack the R–and from there it could run the gamot (ok, it’s gamut, but close enough.)

  • Good point, Tom. But look closer. It’s positioned its head over the “E” making it look like a fierce Robberfly with pincers!

  • Maybe its trying to look like a “B”. Mimicry gone awry.
