Horned Grebe at the Celery Farm
My first ever here. And the spring arrivals are arriving! The grebe was No. 186 on my Celery Farm life…
Go DeeDee! Go Kaufmann! (That IS a very useful book.)Go Longhorns!?

It is one of the Long-horned Beetles, Typocerus velutinus. It’s one of the “Flower Long-horns” feeding on pollen. Feeding on pollen of Yarrow or Achillea millefolium (non native.) I just purchased the “Kaufmann Field Guide to Insects of North America.” Very handy!
