Horned Grebe at the Celery Farm
My first ever here. And the spring arrivals are arriving! The grebe was No. 186 on my Celery Farm life…
Made a quick trip, between showers, to the Warden's Watch, for a little "Ducks at Dusk" preview.
Saw a gigantic Snapping Turtle in the Spillway (above), lots of Shovelers (two of which are below), a couple of Ruddies and several Green-winged Teal.
Also saw RC Kinglets, Carolina Wren and lots of Yellow-rumps, the gull at left, two Mute Swans and a distant Great Egret.
As you can see, the foliage wasn't exactly chopped liver either.
Nice! Nothing worse than chopped liver foliage!
