Monday Morning Mystery 042610
Relax. I know that this is a Jack-in-the-Pulpit.
The mystery is: What bug goes hand in hand with a Jack-in the-Pulpit? (Sort of an old joke.)
BTW, Jack-in-the-Pulpits are all over the Celery Farm these days.
Marsh Warden Mike Limatola says that it wasn't that long ago when there were few and far between.
More on Jack-in-the-Pulpits here.
But don't forget the mystery….

Praying Mantis?
Hand in hand! I like that. You practically gave it away, yet I had to think about it for awhile. -
I am overdue for a trip to the Celery Farm. I would love to see Jack in the Pulpit there.

Well, still thinking about the bug joke–but the real question is, can Pastor Jack and his congregation see each other with a pulpit of this configuration? It seems visually and acoustically challenged.
And chances are that the “bug” joke is not about an Hemipteran, making it entomologically challenged.
