Butterfly Walk: The Full List (sort of)
As best I can gather, our
great group of 15 had the following butterflies on the Saturday nature
walk (not all of there were seen by all of us, but each was seen by at
least two of us):
Monarch, Eastern Tiger Swallowtail, Black
Swallowtail, Cabbage White, Red Admiral, Silver Spotted Skipper, Wild
Indigo Duskywing, Broadwing Skipper and a Peck's skipper…
I
guess the highlight of the walk might have been a Red Admiral that
proved that walk leader Tom Burr wears his love of butterflies on his
sleeve.
We also had a Hummingbird Clear-winged Moth make a
couple of cameo appearances at the Butterfly Garden, plus the Great Blue Heron Below.
Monday: Tom Burr's Walk Pix.
