You may have heard snippets about my current book project, but I thought it was time to tell you more.

The book is a ghost story set in Allendale during the Revolutionary War. It is about the great patriot John Fell and a frightening night in Wolf Swamp, which has since come to be known as the Celery Farm.

The really neat part about the book is that it was illustrated wonderfully by 14 artists from Northern Highlands Regional High School right here in Allendale.

The illustrators are, in alphabetical order: Miriam Abramik, Alex Austin, Tara Bar-on Azriel, Jade Bonacolta, Kristen Cenci, Jasmine Cherry, Dana Dench, Kaitlyn Henderson, Young Seok Jeong, Kate Kelly, Matt Kim, Brittany Longhetano, Emily Masters and Hyunhye Park.

The new book is now being readied for the printer, and it is pretty cool — 40 pages, hard cover, full-color, landscape format, 8 inches by 10 inches, with a brief biography of all the illustrators. (The cover pictured above is a prototype.)

I am going to publish it myself, as I did with Jerry Barrack and Doug Goodell on "Duck Enough To Fly." All profits will go to the Lillian and Stiles Thomas Scholarship at Northern Highlands, and efforts to save the historic Fell House. 

I am doing my best to put out a great book to showcase young illustrators and raise money for two great causes. I am shooting for a price of $25 for what could well be a limited edition.
