Icy Lake Appert

Winter is here, and Lake Appert is mostly frozen over. Not much bird life this a.m. — a male Mallard and the distant call of a Carlonia Wren. Nearby feeders were brimming with birds.

As of 10:45 a.m, two hockey players were skating on the lake.
