Monday Morning Mystery 122710
Saw these along the FitzPatrick Trauil past the Constantine bench late last month. They were a cross between dandelion puffs and milkweed silks.
Can anybody identify them?

“Virgin’s Bower” or “Old Man’s Beard” Clematis virginiana, native. Also growing at The Celery Farm is Clematis terniflora (Autumn clematis) a non-native. See “Identifying Woody Plants At The Allendale Natural Area,” page 11.
