A Quick Trip To Cape May
Had a great trip to Cape May last week as part of a field trip with the New Jersey chapter of The Nature Conservancy.
Special events included watching female horseshoe crabs lay their eggs on the beach on a full moon and, early the next morning, a walk in the Meadows — an incredible natural area that TNC restored just south of Cape May beach.
Highlights included Piping Plover (from afar), Oystercatcher (left), Black Skimmers and Short-billed Dowitchers.
I am attaching the list of birds we saw for those who like to check out such things.
