Red-banded Hairstreak at CF!
Pretty neat butterfly — I had not seen one at the Celery Farm before… Input from readers would be appreciated.
Jerry Barrack and I saw seven species of butterflies plus Hummingbird Moth at the Butterfly Garden around noon today.
A big thank you to all the volunteers who make the garden so often!

I saw a Red-Banded Hairstreak on an unknown plant last Sat. at John Heinz NWR in Philadelphia and last year, August 20th, on some Alyssum in my yard. They are lovely, tiny gems.
