Barbara Dilger’s CF Bald Eagle Pix
I went to the Celery Farm the day after the October snow for a walk and to see how the white would look against the autumn leaves.
From the Pirie stand, I saw what at first I thought was a big white gull with a dark back.
I looked again and realized that it was an adult Bald Eagle standing on a clump across the pond.
He soon took off with something in his talons, but I can't be certain exactly what he had caught for his lunch.
More eagle pix by Barbara follow. (Thanks, Barbara!)
It is so neat that there are so many Eagles around these days, remember back in the seventies, when it was such a rarity. They are amazing to see, it always is a thrill.
