Amazing Nature Art Exhibition
I have been asleep at the switch. The Blauvelt Nature Art Museum's current exhibit is absolutely awesome, and it unfortunately closes at the end of the month.
The artist is Carel Pieter Brest van Kempen, and his highly detailed paintings of birds, butterflies and other creatures from around the world are breathtaking.
You can view some of his works at his website here. (That's an Agami Heron above — but that's only half the painting…)
For more information about the museum, here's a link. The museum, in a carriage house atop a hill overlooking Kinderkamack Road in Oradell, is not to be missed!
