The vac truck was back on Franklin Turnpike yesterday, suctioning muck from the culvert.

I talked to a few of the workers, who said they had removed huge a huge mound of mud and had pulled out all sorts of junk, including railroad ties. 

We are hoping this improves water flow and reduces the chances of the trails flooding so frequently.

This has been almost a decade in the making. There's more work to be done to clear the brook, but a big thank you to Mayor Barra and Borough Engineer John Yakimik for making it happen thus far.
