A Veterans Day Tribute
Just wanted to wish all of our nation's veterans a great Veterans Day.
Went hawk-watching at Stateline Lookout today with one of my favorite veterans, Stiles Thomas, who enlisted in the Army on this day 70 years ago.
After basic training down South and some other assignments, Stiles was shipped to Camp Shanks in Orangeburg, N.Y., where he shipped out to Europe via the Piermont Pier.
Stiles and I visited Camp Shanks today in honor of Veterans Day. Pretty neat.
