At Last, a New CF Mink Photo
There has been some speculation by folks who have not seen any of the mink reported in the Celery Farm that maybe they are just Muskrats…
These two shots by Julie McCall are kind of like Sasquatch pix, but you can tell that it's a mink — and obviously very difficult to photograph.
Julie writes:
In case you need it, my mink photo is attached. Headless… but clearly not a muskrat!
The photo is from June 13. Blue jays made quite the racket over this
little guy. Don't ever let anyone tell you that getting a photo of a mink is easy. I tried. Coming, and going. Several times… because the mink
couldn't make up its mind what to do about me. It went up the bank,
down the bank, up the bank, and then eventually disappeared.
I had another mink sighting on May 19, in the rain, scooting along the trail near No-Name Culvert with a prey item in its mouth.
(Thanks, Julie! Anybody else with a mink photo, please send it in…)
