Great Moth Photos @ AMNH

After seeing the National Moth Week post about "Winged Tapestries: Moths at Large," the incredible super-size moth photos by Jim des Rivieres currently on display at the American Museum of Natural History, I decided I had to see them in person.

All I can say is: Wow. If you ever doubted for a second that moths are magnificent, you have to see Jim's photography. You will never see moths in the same (Mercury vapor) light again.

Incidentally, you might check with your local library to see if it offers free tickets to the AMNH. The Lee Memorial Library in Allendale offers several free passes a year to borough residents, thanks to the Friends of the Library. (Thanks, Friends!)

More information on "Winged Tapestries" is here.
