Folks who have been to the Celery Farm in the past day or so have likely encountered Ralph, above.

After Patty and I did a CF walk this morning, we almost stepped on a baby Snapping Turtle on our driveway.

I got what I thought was a great idea– to photograph the little guy on the big turtle's back for a size comparison.  You can see the little guy as a dot on the big guy's shell.

Things went fine until the baby turtle hopped in the water anf had trouble exiting. A very nice woman tried to rescue the little guy, which was not easy with Ralph there.

I hope I did not contribute to the little guy's demise. We read where baby Snapping Turtles immediately take to the water but…
