A friend sent this cellphone photo of a bird that had raised young in a nestbox in his yard. He wanted to know what the species is.
I am drawing a blank. Any thoughts?

House wren? But I can’t tell if the black line behind the eye is real or an illusion. It made me think Worm-eating Warbler, which doesn’t fit since doubt they nest in boxes….
