Injured Red-tail Update: Sad News

On Saturday, Sept. 13, my wife and I drove an injured Red-tailed hawk to The Raptor Trust, thanks to all the vigilant folks on Maltbie Avenue in Midland Park.

We recently received another update from TRT, and sorry to say, it is bad news — the Red-tail died last week, apparently from kidney problems. It was in bad shape when we rescued him, so we sensed it was an uphill battle.
