Ivan’s Big Walk

Starting on November 8, long-time Fyke member Ivan Kossak will walk the East Coast Greenway section that passes through New Jersey. The Greenway is an urban and suburban walking trail that stretches from Maine to Key West Florida. The section in New Jersey runs about 100 miles from the George Washington Bridge to Trenton.

Ivan is doing the walk as a fund raiser for Hackensack Riverkeeper, Free Walkers (a charity that promotes walking as recreation and exercise), and the Greenway itself.

    We met Ivan Friday Night at the Fyke Meeting. Very exciting that he is walking The Greenway.
    Am reading Grandma Gatewood’s Walk. First woman to walk the Appelachian Trail alone and at 67 yrs. of age; without social media.
