To celebrate my new book about peregrines, what better place than State Line Lookout? I saw my first peregrines there two decades ago, and my experiences watching the Beast and the Dude begin the book.

I’ll be on hand at the State Line Cafe from 5:30 to 7:15 to chat about the book, sell and inscribe copies, and chat about our favorite falcons. Please spread the word.

The book, published by Schiffer, is 244 pages, with 90 awesome images (most are in color). List price is $29.95. I hope some of the contributing photographers can attend and sign my personal copy of the book.

So far, the book has been extremely well-received – Booklist magazine called it “the peregrine primer for years to come” – but please see for yourself.
