Friday’s Fyke Meeting: Greenbrook Fungi

This month's Fyke Nature Association meeting is Friday at 8 p.m. in the Allendale Municipal Building.

Paul Sadowski will talk about "The Role of Fungi in the Ecosystem of the Greenbrook Sanctuary."

10,000 years ago, the Palisades were a glaciated, barren rockscape. Today they are home to a thriving ecosystem. Paul Sadowski will  discuss how the fungi of Greenbrook Sanctuary help to bring this change about.
 
They function in many ecological roles, contributing to the health of the biome.
 
Admission is free, and the public is welcome.
