Common loon homcy-001
My latest column is on recent loon sightings in North Jersey, and how their exceptional body design can get them into trouble around here.

  • Ravi,
Someone else e-mailed me today wondering how far Hillsdale is from the Woodcliff Lake Reservoir.
I am guessing they saw an RT Loon as well…

I thought I saw one in the big lake in Woodcliff Lakes as I was driving through it (actually I saw it on the way back too), and having now read this column, I am quite convinced it was a loon.
    Thanks for posting this Jim.
